J/ψ and ψ(2S) production in small systems with PHENIX

چکیده
The nuclear modification of J/ψ production has been studied at forward and backward rapidity in the collision systems p+Al, p+Au, 3He+Au. A comparison results for p+Au 3He+Au is presented, with a focus on possible differences caused by different particle multiplicity final state. ψ(2S) collisions also as function centrality. complement earlier mid-rapidity RHIC energies obtained LHC energies, revealing strong dependence that indicative state effects.

Quarkonium Production in PHENIX
Quarkonia provide a sensitive probe of the properties of the hot dense medium created in high energy heavy ion collisions. Hard scattering processes result in the production of heavy quark pairs that interact with the collision medium during hadronization. These in medium interactions convey information about the fundamental properties of the medium itself and can be used to examine the modific...
متن کاملJ/ψ production in PHENIX
Heavy quarkonia production is expected to be sensitive to the formation of a quark gluon plasma (QGP). The PHENIX experiment has measured J/ψ production at √ sNN = 200 GeV in Au+Au and Cu+Cu collisions, as well as in reference p+p and d+Au runs. J/ψ’s were measured both at mid (|y| < 0.35) and forward (1.2 < |y| < 2.2) rapidity. In this letter, we present the A+A preliminary results and compare...

High-pT Particle Production in PHENIX
It has been established that "hard probes", observables involving high-momentum transfer, provide useful tools for studying the hot, dense medium created in nucleus-nucleus collisions at RHIC. The nuclear modification factor, azimuthal correlations, direct photon production, as well as the dependence of the nuclear modificaton factor on centrality and angle with respect to the reaction plane ar...
متن کاملEconomic Production Quantity in Reworkable Production Systems with Inspection Errors, Scraps and Backlogging
The classical economic production quantity (EPQ) model is a well-known and commonly used inventory control technique. Common assumptions in this model are that all units produced are of perfect quality and shortage is not allowed, since in practice shortage, non-conforming product or scrap items are possible, these assumptions will underestimate the actual required quantity. The objective of th...
